WHO WE ARE
People who love......
When we examine God's word, we see that God expects us to love and obey Him. He created human beings in His own image. Jesus Christ summed up this truth by giving us two integral commands for those who follow Him: to love God with all our heart, soul, mind and strength and then to love our neighbor as ourself. (Mark 12:29-31)
OUR LOVE OF GOD
The Love of God is to be summed up in our reverential fear and awe of Him.(Eccl.12:13) and our passion towards Him. (Matt.10:37-38) We are made to realize that we love Him, because He loved us first.(1Jhn 4:19)
OUR LOVE OF GOD'S CHILDREN
John connects our love of His children to obedience of God's commands. (1Jhn 5:2) Therefore, the love of His people is rooted in the understanding of our love for God.
"We know that we have passed from death unto life, because we love the brethren."1 Jhn 3:14
